How do I make an AI talking cockroach video?
Open Roachy, tap Create, type what the roach should say (and where, if you like) or tap one of the ready-made ideas, then tap Create again. The video is rendered on our servers and you get a notification when it's ready. Full walkthrough in the guide.
What is Roachy AI?
Roachy (also called Roachy AI or the Roachy app) is a mobile app that turns one typed line into a short video of a talking cartoon cockroach; its full store name is Roachy: AI Talking Cockroach. The Android app is on Google Play and the iPhone app is coming soon to the App Store. It is made by Ginowl, an independent developer in Türkiye, and is not related to other apps, games or chat characters that share the name.
Which languages does the roach speak?
Whichever one you type in. Turkish in, Turkish out; English in, English out; there's no setting for it. The app language you pick on first launch (11 languages) only changes the menus and the ready-made ideas.
How long does a video take?
Usually seconds to about a minute. You don't have to keep the app open; a notification tells you when it's done.
Is it free?
The app is a free download, but creating videos needs a subscription (weekly or yearly, no free trial). It includes 2 videos a day, up to 30 a month.
Can two characters talk to each other?
Yes. Write each line as “Who: what they say” and two roaches take turns in the same video. See two roaches talking.
How long and what quality are the videos?
5 to 10 seconds, set automatically from your lines. Vertical (9:16) by default, or horizontal (16:9) if you pick it. Every video costs one allowance whatever you choose.
Where do my videos go? Can I download them?
They stay in My Videos. Save any of them to your phone's gallery or share them whenever you like. Videos are also shown anonymously on Discover unless you hide them.
Who is it for?
Roachy is for users 18 and older. Videos are generated by AI and may not always turn out as expected; you can report a result with one tap.
Can I make the cockroach say anything?
Almost. The roach says your words exactly as typed, in your language. Sexual content and nudity are blocked before generation, and the AI provider's own moderation can refuse a line, in which case nothing is rendered. Profanity isn't filtered, which is one reason the app is 18+. Every character becomes a cartoon roach, so it can't be made to look like a real person.
